Primal Flow for Dancers
The field of gravity is the OG of training environments and body-weight training, basic floor gymnastics, primal movement, and Animal Flow® are the absolute best way to train strength and conditioning for dancers. Primal Flow is a principle based movement system that creates integrated strength, power with precision, while preventing injuries and balancing out posture.
Basic body-weight gymnastics, along with animal forms, developmental movement (rocking, rolling, crawling) and martial arts are the basic elements and inspiration for my Primal Flow system.

After 30 years playing with and coaching these kinds of movements, it's been fun (and challenging) to unify them into a single, principle based system.

Primal Flow is deeply holistic and, since it's principle based, can ultimately be applied to any moving art form. The goal is inner strength, power with precision, while preventing injuries, balancing out posture, and most importantly, providing a method for developing the full potential of your humanity!

This is radically unique as most ways of working out are for a specific goal - like losing weight, having bigger muscles, or performing better at a sport - almost always at the detriment to health. What audacity, to attempt to heal and strengthen at the same time!

The 4 Primal Flow Principles:
1- Lead with the breath.
2- Move smoothly with as little tension as possible.
3- Spread the energy throughout the system.
4- Explore and make it your own.

The method:
1) Provide as much support as necessary to honor the four principles.
2) Do multiple repetitions to provide ample feedback.
3) Gradually take away support to challenge the integrity of the principles.
4) Finally, practice in more chaotic environment that will challenge your embodiment of the principles.

We'll go over the basics, but this class is specifically for Dancers and/or Yogis with a dedicated yoga practice.
