Tai Chi & Qigong:

Awakening the Wisdom Body

Moving from a Place of Inner Wisdom

Is there wisdom in your human body? And if so, how can one access it?

The ancients of China developed specific practices to wake up the "wisdom body". Cultivating awareness through these specific movement amplifies the senses and empowers the heart. Released from the tyranny of the modern mind, with it's incessant anxieties, depression, and addictions, your whole body intuition becomes an invaluable resource at every step of life.

Qigong is a form of energy medicine whose origins reach back at least 2,000 years, all the way to the Neolithic shaman. At its most basic, simple movements and sounds form a sort of energetic alphabet, a repertoire of medicinal movement. As the movements became more complex and dynamic over time, they began to form a sort of sacred dance or moving poetry. Tai Chi is one such book of wisdom, written not with words, but in this almost forgotten language of human vibration, an innate human language that heals and enlightens.

Rather than a static fixed sequence, the form is a living matrix of human energy that shifts with the seasons, time of day, and evolves as new discoveries are made with each successive generation. As such, fragements of many lineages can be found in the Dragon Gate Tai Chi Form, as its wisdom made its way along the ancient silk route of China, integrating Persian dance, Buddhist mantra, indigenous religious practices from Tibet, tantrayana from India, and yogic asanas along the way.

Please note: Tai chi and Qigong are complimentary healing practices, not alternatives to western medicine.
